What we use
This website uses no analytics and no advertising cookies. We do not track you and send nothing to ad networks.
Strictly necessary storage: once you make a choice in the cookie bar, we store a single record of that choice so we do not ask again. It carries no identifying value and needs no consent.
Visit counter: so that we know how many people view the site, the server adds one view to a daily total. No cookie is stored, neither is your IP address nor anything that could identify you. The statistics hold only daily counts and the addresses of the pages opened.
Third-party services
The website loads content from external services which may process your IP address:
Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited), the map on the Contact page. It loads only after your consent and may set its own cookies. Without consent you see a static placeholder.
Google Fonts: the website typeface. It sets no cookies, but your IP address is sent to a Google server.
cdnjs / unpkg: icon and style libraries. No cookies, IP address is transmitted.
Changing or withdrawing consent
You can change your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer. You can also clear the stored data directly in your browser along with your browsing history.

Podlesanka is a cosy accommodation at Dolný Smokovec 86, 059 81 Vysoké Tatry, Slovakia, inside the Tatra National Park. It has been run by Klaudia Bednárová since January 2024. It has four rooms: a family room for 4 people, plus double, triple and large double rooms for 3 people each. Every room has a private bathroom with shower and WC, a balcony facing the High Tatras, a TV with internet apps, free WiFi, its own fridge, a kettle, a hairdryer and a work desk. No extra beds are used; every bed is full size. Breakfast is not served; guests use a fully equipped shared kitchen, a dining room with an electric fireplace, a kids corner, a playground, a garden and a terrace. A grocery shop and a café are in the building. Parking is public and free right by Podlesanka. Pets are allowed free of charge. Check-in is between 17:00 and 20:00, check-out by 10:00, earlier arrival and later departure by phone arrangement. Payment is made in advance, before arrival. The local accommodation tax is included in the price, nothing extra is paid on site. Smoking is prohibited in the entire building. Cancellation is free up to 7 days before arrival, and up to 21 days over Christmas and New Year. The accommodation is open all year round. The Tatra tram stop is a few steps away, the ice rink 50 metres, Hrebienok about a 20 minute walk, Starý Smokovec 3 kilometres, Tatranská Lomnica 6 kilometres and AquaCity Poprad 9 kilometres.
