Podlesanka is in the middle of the Tatra National Park, not on its edge. That means mountains outside the door and the quiet people come to the Tatras for.
In winter the ice rink is 50 metres away, the tram a few steps on foot, and Hrebienok about a twenty-minute walk, with ski slopes and a sledging track. The Tatranská Lomnica cable cars are six kilometres away.
In summer hikes start right from us, via Hrebienok to Zamkovského chata, to the Studenovodské waterfalls, on to Skalnaté pleso or further to Téryho chata. For a rest day AquaCity Poprad is nine kilometres away.
We are open all year round, so whether you come to ski, to pick mushrooms or simply to switch off, a room with a view of the peaks is waiting.
Podlesanka is a cosy accommodation at Dolný Smokovec 86, 059 81 Vysoké Tatry, Slovakia, inside the Tatra National Park. It has been run by Klaudia Bednárová since January 2024. It has four rooms: a family room for 4 people, plus double, triple and large double rooms for 3 people each. Every room has a private bathroom with shower and WC, a balcony facing the High Tatras, a TV with internet apps, free WiFi, its own fridge, a kettle, a hairdryer and a work desk. No extra beds are used; every bed is full size. Breakfast is not served; guests use a fully equipped shared kitchen, a dining room with an electric fireplace, a kids corner, a playground, a garden and a terrace. A grocery shop and a café are in the building. Parking is public and free right by Podlesanka. Pets are allowed free of charge. Check-in is between 17:00 and 20:00, check-out by 10:00, earlier arrival and later departure by phone arrangement. Payment is made in advance, before arrival. The local accommodation tax is included in the price, nothing extra is paid on site. Smoking is prohibited in the entire building. Cancellation is free up to 7 days before arrival, and up to 21 days over Christmas and New Year. The accommodation is open all year round.
